QuadTech Introduces The New 1730T LCR Meter with Turns Ratio
For Impedance Measurements & Transformer Testing
Maynard, MA - QuadTech, Inc., a leading electronic test equipment manufacturer in the passive component and electrical safety testing marketplace, proudly announces the addition of the new model 1730T LCR Meter with Turns Ratio to its widely recognized Digibridge family of impedance measuring instruments. The 1730T is designed for fast throughput in automated or manual production testing of resistive, capacitive, and inductive components.
The 1730T will measure, display, and output the results of any two parameters, including: series or parallel capacitance (C), AC or DC resistance (R or DCR), or Inductance (L), Inductance of a Coil A or B (L2), Mutual Inductance (M), Dissipation factor (D), Quality factor (Q), Equivalent Series Resistance (ESR), Impedance (Z), Reactance (X), Turns Ratio (N or 1/N), and Phase angle. For characterizing devices over a wide range, the unit provides ten programmable test frequencies from 50Hz to 100kHz. The test signal monitoring function displays the voltage across and current through the device under test, leaving no doubt of the actual test conditions.
Some of the features which make the 1730T ideal for Passive Component Testing:
- Measures 14 LCR Parameters including DCR and Turns Ratio
- Basic Measurement Accuracy 0.1%
- Test Frequencies from 50Hz to 100kHz
- Monitors voltage across and current through DUT
- Hi/Lo Comparator Function and 8 Pass/Fail Sorting Bins
- Storage & Recall of 50 Test Setups
- IEEE-488 and Handler Interfaces, Standard
The 1730T offers a number of other exceptional features including, setup storage, fast measure speed, programmable source impedance, and binning capability. The test operator has the ability to store and recall up to 50 unique test setups from the instrument's internal binning or compare memory. This ensures that a test can be configured quickly and run the same way every time. A choice of three measure modes are available (fast, medium, and slow) for varying degrees of accuracy and speed up to 26 measurements/sec. The 1730T provides the operator with the ability to select the instrument source impedance at 25/100Ω, 25Ω, or 10Ω constant current mode, a very useful function when comparing measurements to those made on other testers. The unit also includes a programmable Hi/Lo comparator function and 8 sorting bins for pass/fail testing and/or categorization of components.
Available March 2006, the 1730T LCR Meter includes a Transformer Test Fixture, a Kelvin Lead Set and a NIST traceable calibration certificate. Additional test leads and fixtures are also available to connect the 1730T to a variety of leaded or chip components.
